EDITOR'S REVIEW
Greek jewellery designer Elena Syraka set up her eponymous brand after studying fashion, jewellery design and gemology in Athens and Paris. Her unique pieces draw inspiration from her passion for ancient civilizations and mythology. In 2012 she created the acclaimed Nour collection for the Benaki Museum Collection of Islamic Art using the artefacts on display as her starting point. The ancient East is given a contemporary edge in pieces such as this Peacock bracelet inspired by the cover design on the book Once Upon a Time in the East. Feathers crafted from yellow gold are embellished with white diamonds on the bracelet, which can be worn on its own or matched with the Peacock pendant and ring from the same collection.
