EDITOR'S REVIEW
A regal snowy owl handcrafted from white chalcedony with speckles of brown enamel flies past a yellow gold moon, pavé-set with white diamonds, in this pin by Elizabeth Gage. The immaculate attention to detail and imaginative use of colour are typical of Elizabeth’s jewellery designs, which are frequently inspired by nature. Arguably one of Britain’s most influential designers today, Elizabeth hasn’t looked back since landing her first major commission for Cartier in 1968. As much works of art as they are jewels, her creations display a bold mix of materials from precious stones and ancient bronzes, to intricate hand-carvings and colourful enamel. Over the years she has amassed an impressive collection of awards including the Queen's Award for Export, British Jewellery Designer of the Year, and the prestigious De Beers Diamond Award.
