There is an exquisite sensuality to Fernando Jorge's designs. São Paulo born and London based, Jorge's Chalcedony Earrings in 18ct yellow gold combine the lightness of touch and respect of the female form that is evident in all his creations. Handcrafted in his home country from materials native to Brazil, he has taken Chalcedony of the palest lavender and suspended it in pairs from fine gold threads, which descend from the earlobe like delicate dewdrops. The Jewellery Editor had the pleasure of meeting the up-and-coming designer at the British Fashion Council Rock Vault in September, and we came away suitably entranced.
