Electric Drop Gemfields Emerald earrings

One of 36 designers from around the world selected by Gemfields to create jewels incorporating its ethically sourced stones, Fernando Jorge chose 11ct of Zambian emeralds to give a sparkling green hue to his earrings. Organic and sensual, the fluid lines are typical of Jorge, who has taken the classic combination of yellow gold and emeralds and turned it into something altogether more cutting-edge. Gemfields, the word's leading coloured gemstone producer, specialises in emeralds and amethysts from Zambia and rubies from Mozambique, all of which are mined sustainably. Its recent designer collaboration was created to demonstrate that it's possible to create beautiful jewels with a clear conscience.
