German watchmaker Glashütte Original prides itself on its 'manufactory', where all its watch movements are made in house. With an entirely new calibre, Glashütte Original has launched the latest timepiece in its 20th Century Vintage Collection, which pays homage to the decades that changed the world, the 1960s and 70s, which saw a revolution in music, architecture and design. The Glashütte Original Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date watch, powered by the new calibre 37-02 automatic movement, takes its design cue from from the 1970s. Featuring a square, curved-edge bezel in stainless steel and varnished blue dial, the small seconds and 30-minute indicator are displayed in tonal sub-dials at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock respectively. The signature Glashütte Original panorama date apertures appear above and below the white gold hour and minute hands. Turn the watch over and the new calibre 37-02 movement is revealed. With a 70-hour power reserve, it is able to run continuously for longer, improving accuracy and precision.
