Hermès' unique talent for embellishing time is wonderfully displayed in the new Médor watch collection. First introduced over 20 years ago, the Médor watch was inspired by the classic leather dog collars designed by Hermès in the 1800s. Having already been transformed into a belt, the designers at Hermès cleverly reimagined the collar as a playful wristwatch. Concealing time behind the largest of the three "Clous de Paris" pyramid studs, the watch doubles up as a bracelet and a timepiece. This Hermès Médor Mini watch in steel features a brown textured alligator leather strap set with three polished steel studs. These pyramid studs are set along the edges with pavé diamonds, which highlight the curved ridges. Beneath the largest central stud is the opaline silvered watch dial. Echoing the strap, the dial features four tiny rhodium-plated pyramids at each quarter of an hour, while the hour and minute hands are pushed forward by a Swiss-made quartz movement. With two sizes available, the mini and PM, this Hermès Médor Mini timepiece, with its square polished steel case, measures 16mm across.
