EDITOR'S REVIEW
Time is fluid at the young, independent Swiss watchmaking brand known as HYT. Instead of indicating the passing hours and minutes with conventional hands, HYT resorts to an ingenious liquid representation of time using a fluorescent fluid that travels in a glass tube propelled by bellows. The H3 takes things one step further and proposes a linear reading of time. In pride of place, the horizontal tube with liquid is read off against a row of six rotating cubes to display the 24-hour clock. Below, another ruler with the minutes is read off by a small red hand that springs back to zero with a retrograde jump. Inside the high-tech and very large titanium and platinum case (62 x 41mm) beats a manual-winding movement with two barrels offering an impressive 170-hour power reserve. The H3 is a limited edition of just 25 pieces worldwide.
