EDITOR'S REVIEW
The name says it all. The HYT Skull Bad Boy watch turns fantasy into reality in this mixture of mechanic and liquid complications, creating the ultimate bad boy of a wristwatch. This HYT model has a 51mm black DLC titanium case with a microblasted finish, and a black DLC titanium dome at 6 o’clock. The dial comprises two half-moons decorated with the Clous de Paris stud pattern, and its indexes are created in a Gothic font. Housed within the dial is the distinctive appearance of a skull crafted from a composite material created to resemble Damascus steel - the material used for knives and Samurai swords. In a process that took HYT’s Hydrochemical Horologists more than 12 months to perfect, the Damascus steel skull is surrounded by an opaque black liquid, which creates a fluid environment capable of adapting to the constraints of the exclusive HYT calibre mechanical movement. The 65-hour power reserve indicator sits in the right eye socket of the skull, and gets darker as the piece runs out of reserve. A unique and alluring piece, the Skull Bad Boy is available as a limited edition of 50 pieces.
