EDITOR'S REVIEW
The Ingenieur line was developed for IWC by watchmaking design genius Gérald Genta in the mid-1970s. Genta’s philosophy of masculine, nuts and bolts-exposed design, resulted in the iconic Ingenieur collection, which incorporates this eye-catching Perpetual Calendar reference, accurate until the year 2100. Edgy, avant-garde and totally reliable, this IWC chronograph marries red gold and titanium aluminide - a material used widely in F1 motor races - to create the high-tech 46mm case. The displays on the black dial are as adventurous as the material used, and feature a digital date, month and leap year indicator, along with recessed and sporty chronograph counters to bring the high speed of the race track to the incessant pace of time.
