EDITOR'S REVIEW
Continuing IWC’s tradition of exceptional pilot’s watches, the IWC Mark VIII is an entry-level model that takes up the tradition of the Mark 11 as the epitome of an observer’s watch with down-to-the-second accuracy. The Mark VIII has a 40mm stainless steel case attached to a black calfskin strap. Reducing its features to just the essentials, the uncluttered black dial has simple Arabic numerals and a single date display at 3 o’clock. Powered by a 30110 calibre self-winding mechanical movement, this IWC watch has a 42-hour power reserve, and its anti-reflective sapphire glass is secured against a drop in air pressure should you decide to pilot an aeroplane anytime soon.
