EDITOR'S REVIEW
Dedicated to the French author and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the IWC "The Last Flight" forms part of an ongoing series of special edition watches in honour of the man who wrote the immortal children's classic, Le Petit Prince. As the name indicates, this particular chronograph refers to the last flight of the author who was shot down in 1944. The new brown ceramic case measures 46mm and features a brown dial with central hour, minute and chronograph seconds hands. The silver subdials at 12 and 6 o'clock house the chronograph counters and small seconds with date aperture respectively. The crown and pushers are crafted from platinum as is the caseback that is engraved with a profile of Saint-Exupéry. Equipped with an in-house column wheel flyback chronograph movement, calibre 89361 powers the watch for up to 54 hours and is water resistant to 60 metres. The watch is presented on a brown leather strap with contrasting white stitching and a platinum pin buckle. The platinum edition of IWC's Last Flight Pilot watch is limited to 17 pieces.
