When IWC launched its Portofino Midsize range of watches in 2014, the glamorous advertising campaign revealed a star-studded cast of men and women wearing the watches. Thanks to its ideal 37mm diameter, the watch looked as good on the wrist of Cate Blanchett as it did on Ewan McGregor. With 12 diamonds to mark the hours and a glowing mother-of-pearl dial, this stainless steel Portofino Automatic Moonphase 37 watch is decidedly feminine. Located at 12 o’clock, the Moon phase indicator features a gold Moon set against a starry sky. To keep the movements of the celestial body and the hour, minute and second functions in perfect time, the watch is equipped with a mechanical movement and comes on a green alligator strap from the Italian leather house Santoni. Who says you can’t ask for the Moon?
