EDITOR'S REVIEW
The IWC Grande Complication collection presents some of the most impressive functions devised by IWC. This IWC Portugieser Grande Complication Moon-phase indicator also boasts a minute repeater and chronograph function. The signature 45mm rose gold Portugieser case houses a classically elegant silver-plated dial. The four sub-dials at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock house the perpetual calendar functions of date, month, day and Moon phase. The apertures at 12, 6 and 9 o'clock double as chronograph dials operated by two push buttons on the dial. The repeater slider controls the minute repeater function that can mark the passing of time as desired, with a low strike for the hours, a double chime for the quarters, and a high-pitched gong for the minutes. This Grande Complication watch, with a 44-hour power reserve, is powered by a mechanical, self-winding movement, housed within a closed caseback engraved with a compass rose. Presented on the IWC brown, Santoni alligator leather strap, which is stitched with a rose gold threat, the watch is limited to 250 editions.
