EDITOR'S REVIEW
IWC take to the skies with this Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun Miramar inspired by the elite US pilot corp. Precision, reliability and ability to perform under extreme pressure is what this handsome chronograph and these pilots have in common. IWC has made aviators' watches since the 1930's and details of this classic and highly functional style are evident in the large numerals and luminous hands and markings for easy reading at nighttime and a triangle marker at 12 for clear reference. Even the military-style web strap is reminiscent of aviator's uniforms and the date display on the anthracite dial looks like an altimeter from a cockpit. What is completely new is the unusual look of the case that is made from titanium ceramic that has a pleasing metallic finish and is, of course, both lightweight, tough and scratchproof. Inside the titanium shell is another soft-iron case to protect the IWC Calibre 89365 from magnetic fields. The movement is automatic and has a 68 hour power reserve.
