EDITOR'S REVIEW
With a history of watchmaking dating back to 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre has been a key innovator in the world of horology. In 1931 the company accepted a challenge to design a timepiece that could withstand the rigours of a polo match while maintaining a sophisticated elegance, and so the iconic Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso watch was born. A revolutionary design right from the start, the Reverso has been reinvented in many guises, and the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1948 watch pays homage to a model from that year. The Art Deco-inspired stainless steel case has a refined silvered dial with blue hour markers. In classic Reverso style, flip the watch over and the dial is hidden and protected, leaving a blank surface that can be personalised. Engraving the reverse of the watch with initials, a family crest or a secret message has become a Jaeger-LeCoultre tradition. This Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1948 watch is powered by the ultra-thin hand-wound movement, calibre 822/2, and is presented on a black alligator strap.
