This Intrique Crown black diamond engagement ring was a way for designer Karen Karch to introduce more alternative styles into her bridal collection. “Obvious beauty bores me,” says Karch, and so she developed her trademark claws and a chunkier, more jagged, version of the everyday prong to use in her designs. A striking 4.11ct, three-sided, rose-cut black diamond is secured by three ruby-studded claws, which emerge from the delicate gold frame. Its asymmetric double vine band adds to the originality of this unique black diamond engagement ring.
