EDITOR'S REVIEW
Australian-born Katherine Jetter’s passion for jewellery design was ignited after she was given a blue opal by her parents and created a simple, elegant ring setting for it. She is now based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and, drawing on the creative vibes of her surroundings, many of her jewels continue to incorporate Australian opals as well as other coloured gemstones. This stunning cocktail ring from Katherine’s Couture collection is set with a 17.43ct bi-coloured Imperial topaz sourced from the Vermillion mine in Brazil. Only around a dozen such stones have been found in the last 50 years, making this gemstone an incredibly rare collectors’ item. With a striking yellow to pink gradient, the centre stone is framed by sapphires that range in colour from orange to pink.
