The work of US-based jewellery designer Lilly Fitzgerald is inspired by everyday objects, everything from hubcaps to doorknobs, to the shape of a tree branch. Favouring opals, pearls, moonstones, tourmalines and sapphires, she creates classical pieces of striking beauty, and this agate brooch incorporates another unique material into her collection. Lilly’s dendritic agate brooch is approximately 3” x 2”, with the dendritic agate hailing from west central India. The marking in the agate is a naturally-formed pattern, and the setting is hand-built in exceptionally high-quality gold.
