The Louis Vuitton Escale Time Zone watch features the colourful geometric motifs that enabled Louis Vuitton travellers of yesteryear personalise and identify their trunks. In this case, the 24 names of cities representing the 24 time zones are separated by brightly painted flags, rubber-stamped by hand, one colour at a time. A sophisticated GMT watch, time can be read in two separate locations: the 24-hour scale displayed on the outer disc gives you home time while local time is indicated by the central triangle-shaped hand. The 39mm case is made of pink gold and steel and houses the automatic Calibre LV87 made at Vuitton’s watchmaking in Geneva known as La Fabrique du Temps.
