Louis Vuitton started life as a trunk maker and the theme of travel is near and dear to the grand Parisian luxury Maison. From exquisite luggage to watches, everything the brand produces bears the insignia of the brand, and this Voyager GMT watch is no exception. Designed as an infallible travel companion, the GMT or dual time function is a handy complication allowing you to consult two time zones simultaneously. The spirit of Louis Vuitton is evident in the details of the dial, with a large pink gold ‘V’ travelling across the equator of the navy blue dial. The tip of the ‘V’ points to the time on the GMT function, displayed on a 24-hour disc that also indicates whether it is night or day. The sumptuous 18 carat pink gold case – a harmonious fusion of a square and a circle – measures 41.5mm in diameter and features contrasting brushed and polished finishes. The GMT function is highlighted in black and white for day and night time indications, and the hour markers and hands are all made in pink gold. The mechanical automatic movement has a power reserve of 42 hours and can be viewed through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback, along with the oscillating weight bearing the LV monogram. A matching navy blue alligator strap with a pink gold ardillon buckle adds the finishing touch to this eminently stylish and practical watch for globetrotters.
