EDITOR'S REVIEW
Greek jewellery designer Maria Frantzi developed a technique allowing her to incorporate apatite in her jewellery pieces. Known as a ‘doublet’, Frantzi protects the delicate surface of apatite with a sliver of rock crystal placed over the top. This particular ring is inspired by the artwork of Robert Delaunay with its bold use of colour and experimentation with depth and tone. Apatite, dioptase and chrysocolla covered with rock crystal doublets are set in gold and silver.
