EDITOR'S REVIEW
Los Angeles-based jeweller Martin Katz was hooked after buying his first Paraiba tourmaline in 2002. Since then, his determination to hunt down every specimen of the rare gemstone has led to a sizeable collection. A number of these stones have been set into one-of-a-kind jewels such as this cuff bracelet, which boasts 121 carats of Paraiba tourmaline cabochons, interspersed with 176 white diamonds. With their neon-like brightness, Brazilian Paraiba tourmalines are unlike any other gemstone and their dwindling supply has only served to make them even more sought after.
