Akoya cultured pearls are accented with white diamonds in this stunning necklace by Japanese pearl expert Mikimoto. The pearls range in size from 3-5.5mm and are set in white gold. The necklace can be adjusted in size from 35 to 38cm using an adjuster. Akoya pearls, which are produced by the Japanese Akoya oyster, have an incredible lustre and rich colour. They are inextricably linked to Mikimoto, as its founder Kokichi Mikimoto was the first person to culture an Akoya pearl in 1893, thus creating a new industry that revolutionised the world of pearl jewellery.
