EDITOR'S REVIEW
Montblanc’s 4810 collection is dedicated to the golden age of transatlantic travel when Germany plied the oceans with its powerful cruise ships vying for the Blue Riband award for speed. To convey the theme of travel, the dials of these three models are hand-painted with a map representing the continents of Asia, America and Europe. Below the map, the ExoTourbillon construction completes its 60-second rotations doubling up as a small seconds counter. The 42mm white gold case is satin finished and features slightly curved lugs for an ergonomic fit on the wrist. Inside the gold case, the automatic manufacture calibre MB 29.24, with a quick stop-second mechanism, offers 50 hours of autonomy and is powered by a micro-rotor to allow for a full view of the movement through the sapphire caseback. All three models are fitted with a black alligator strap and a white gold pin buckle. The Asian map edition is limited to 38 watches, while the American and European map watches are limited editions of 36 watches each.
