Designing under the name NC Rocks, mother-and-daughter team Nadine Hammoud and Cherine Altobaishi create jewels that weave together international influences from London and Lebanon to Saudi Arabia, Los Angeles to Dubai. These diverse cultures converge in bold, colourful creations that also draw inspiration from abstract paintings, Art Deco and tribal tattoos as well as nature in all its glory. Born in Lebanon and brought up in London, Nadine’s interest in jewellery was awakened at an early age by her glamorous grandmother and artistic mother. She in turn passed on this creative streak and love for jewels to her own daughter, and NC Rocks was born as way to express their collective aesthetic vision. Bold and modern, the Skywatch medallion from the Theory of Geoma collection is inspired by comets and stars in the night sky. Hanging from a white gold chain, geometric enamel shapes framed by white diamonds lend the medallion a distinct Art Deco feel.
