EDITOR'S REVIEW
One of the rarest stones in the world, good-quality padparadscha sapphires weighing more than 2.00 carats are almost unheard of. This Omi Privé ring is set with a 5.73ct oval-cut padparadscha sapphire accented with round brilliant-cut diamonds on a platinum and rose gold band. Held in place with rose gold claws, the centre stone boasts the distinctive orangey-pink colour that has made the padparadscha sapphire such a sought-after gem. Mined in Sri Lanka, the name padparadscha means lotus flower in Singhalese but the colour is perhaps best described as a cross between the lotus blossom and a beautiful sunset. Based in Los Angeles, Omi Privé has its roots in Burma and prides itself on creating jewellery that brings to life the very finest coloured gemstones.
