L’Exceptionnelle tanzanite pendant in white gold

The L’Exceptionnelle tanzanite pendant is as much a sculpture as it is a piece of jewellery, taking artist/designer Ornella Iannuzzi some 207 hours to make. The London-based jeweller has a long history of creating miniature sculptures, and this L’Exceptionnelle tanzanite pendant was created using lost wax casting techniques. Designed around a bewildering 45ct tanzanite crystal and set in white gold, the L’Exceptionnelle pendant is mounted in a hematite necklace and further decorated with white diamonds. This piece of art won the designer a Gold Award at the 2016 Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Awards in London.
