EDITOR'S REVIEW
The new Luminor Due collection marks a milestone in the history of Panerai, renowned for its formidably large professional dive watches. The Luminor Due is absolutely faithful to the original aesthetics of the Luminor 1950 family but has whittled down its girth by 40% to create a case of just 10.5mm thick. This elegant 42mm red gold model features the classic bridge device with the lever protecting the crown, a distinctive trait of all Luminor dive watches. The sunbrushed anthracite grey dial features the cut-out numbers and hour markers typical of Panerai watches, with a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock. Hand-wound calibre P.1000 can be viewed on the caseback and for the first time is presented in a sophisticated skeletonised version. You will also see the two spring barrels in the movement, responsible for providing the impressive three-day power reserve.
