EDITOR'S REVIEW
Panerai watches revists its historical Luminor model with this Submersible men's watch, presented in a 47mm lightweight titanium case with a unidirectional rotating bezel in black ceramic to calculate immersion times. Panerai has obtained cult status among horophiles and has a passionate fan base - known as Paneristi - who follow the brand and its history with the dedication of watch sleuths. The iconic Luminor watch was first used in 1950 as a professional military dive watch to accompany Italian Navy frogmen on their underwater stealth missions. Its superior luminosity was derived from tritium but the most striking difference was the unique crown-protecting device with a lever, which substantially increased its water-resistance. Powered by an in-house automatic Panerai movement made in Switzerland, the sophisticated flyback chronograph functions, seconds reset, hours, minutes and small seconds will keep perfect time for three days.
