EDITOR'S REVIEW
- Watch launched at Watches and Wonders 2023
- Zenith’s great claim to fame is that it is the only watch brand that can legally put the word ‘pilot’ on a dial, thanks to some incredibly intuitive foresight by its legal team back in 1904
- The Swiss brand put on an exhibition showcasing the evolution of the watch over more than a century, taking us through to 2023’s model – the first major redesign of the Pilot in a decade
- The Pilot Automatic, fitted with an El Primero 3620 movement, is available in steel, but the star of the collection is a strikingly monochromatic black ceramic model
- It features a brand-new rounded case design with a flat-top bezel, the opaline dial has grooves to mimic the corrugated metal sheets of vintage planes’ fuselage, and the bright-white Arabic numerals are coated with SuperLuminova for extra legibility
- It is sold with two cordura-like straps, one in black rubber and the other in khaki
