Turquoise Mountain gold-plated amethyst and peridot ring

Created as part of an ethical jewellery project by British designer Pippa Small, this Turquoise Mountain ring from the Shah collection features a central amethyst gemstone with two accompanying peridots in a gold-plated setting. Inspired by traditional Afghan design and materials, anthropologist-turned-designer Pippa Small developed a jewellery collection to help support the local population in Afghanistan. The Pippa Small Turquoise Mountain Foundation has set up schools to revive traditional skills such as jewellery-making in the Afghan capital of Kabul.
