The Ralph Lauren Sporting collection of watches is inspired by the romance of adventure and exploration, informed by Ralph Lauren's own love of African safaris. This Ralph Lauren Sporting watch features a 45mm polished steel case, with the screw-down bezel incorporating six exposed screws to imbue a robust and powerful image. The matte black galvanic watch dial is luxurious in its simplicity. Silver Roman numerals and a rail road minute track encircle the dial. Time is told with the central Breguet-style hour and minute hand while a seconds sub-dial is found at 6 o'clock. The hour, minute and seconds functions are powered by the Swiss made self-winding COSC chronometer movement, calibre RL366, that provides a 42-hour power reserve and is water resistant to 10 bar. The watch is presented on a black alligator strap and is secured with a polished stainless steel pin buckle.
