EDITOR'S REVIEW
An iconic Rolex watch since 1956, the Day-Date chronometer model has been equipped with new technology and a slightly smaller case size. Presented exclusively in platinum or gold in its new 40mm case, the men's watch bears its hallmark date window with its Cyclops magnifying lens, and the day of the week spelt out in full at the top of the dial. The big novelty this year is the incorporation of a brand new Rolex movement, calibre 3255, which improves the performance by increasing the power reserve to 70 hours, providing greater resistance to shocks and magnetism, and is backed by 14 patents. The model in platinum features an ice blue dial with a lovely diagonal sunray finish with white gold indices and hands, which glow blue in the dark with Chromalight. The three-piece solid link President bracelet is also crafted in platinum with a contrasting satin finish and polished edges.
