EDITOR'S REVIEW
Launched in 1953, the Submariner is still the reference among dive watches, immortalised by Sean Connery in his seven James Bond appearances. Water-resistant to 300 metres, this luxury version of the Submariner made from a solid block of 18 carat white gold features a rotating 60-minute bezel with a blue scratch-proof Cerachrom ceramic insert to match the rich blue colour of the dial and superior long-lasting blue luminescence for legibility even in the darkest depths. The self-winding calibre 3135 of this Submariner Date, entirely developed and manufacture by Rolex contains components which are insensitive to magnetic fields and more resilient to shocks. What’s more, all Rolex movements today are certified Superlative Chronometers with an outstanding precision rate of -2/+2 seconds per day. The magnifying glass or Cyclops lens covering the date window is made of scratchproof sapphire and the white gold bracelet comes with the Oysterlock safety clasp to prevent accidental opening and the Glidelock extension system which allows you to adjust the length of the bracelet to fit over a dive suit without using any tools.
