A Rolex icon, the Oyster Perpetual is a direct descendant of the 1926 waterproof Oyster watch and the 1931 Perpetual mechanical self-winding movement. Like all watches at Rolex, this 31mm steel model is certified as a Superlative Chronometer and boasts a precision rate of -2/+2 seconds per day. The Oyster case guarantees water-resistance to 100 metres and is crafted in corrosion-resistant 904L steel with a screw-down caseback and winding crown to protect the mechanical movement, automatic calibre 2231 made at Rolex’ manufacture in Bienne. The sunray finish white dial is offset with Roman numerals, numbers III, IV and IX in applied 18-ct. white gold and the rest in a contrasting dark blue colour. Designed to be worn day in, day out, the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protecting the dial and the superlative quality 904L steel with its satin and polished finishes will keep the watch looking brand new for years to come.
