EDITOR'S REVIEW
The legendary 1967 Rolex Sea-Dweller watch was the professional diver's watch of choice and is now a vintage classic. The contemporary model of the Rolex dive watch, the Sea-Dweller 4000, takes all of its design cues from the original while harnessing technology developed by Rolex over the decades. Able to withstand depths of 1,200m, this is a serious diver's watch. The 40mm stainless steel case features a unidirectional Cerachrom bezel with engraved numerals and graduations coated in platinum. The black dial has large Chromalight hour indices and central hour and minute hands and stop seconds. The case features a helium escape valve at 9 o'clock and a screw-down Triplock triple waterproof crown at 3 o'clock. Powered by the Rolex calibre 3135, this COSC-certified chronometer features Rolex's anti-magnetic blue parachrom hairspring, which preserves the accuracy of the watch - essential for accurate dive calculations. The classic Rolex Oyster three-piece steel bracelet can be extended allowing the diver's watch to be worn over a dive suit.
