EDITOR'S REVIEW
Featuring a black matte dial and black ceramic insert on the fluted bezel, the 40mm Everose gold Yacht-Master from Rolex watches is a nautical sports watch par excellence. Evoking the brand's alliance with some of world's most competitive sailing races, including the Rolex Fastnet Race, this year's Yacht-Master watch appears dressed in chic black attire - a first for the model, which was launched in 1992. The Everose gold case is made from a very special kind of rose gold that Rolex mints at its own foundry, and is designed for durability and a lasting sheen. With its screwed-down caseback and crown, the hallmark Oyster case is guaranteed to keep the movement dry even at depths of 100 metres. The hour markers and hands are treated with a luminescent material, giving them a blue glow that is highly visible in the dark and in the bright sunshine. The 40mm model is equipped with a proprietary COSC-certified Rolex automatic movement capable of withstanding magnetic interferences, temperature variations and shocks. The black Oysterflex bracelet, another new novelty, is made from flexible and supple metal blades coated with black elastomer for superior resilience and comfort.
