Simon Alcantara was, for many years, a classical ballet dancer. It lends his jewellery a disciplined edge and an unwavering eye for detail. With his Starchild collection, he experiments with the effect of fine chain, meticulously hand-weaving it with diamonds and pearls for a sense of movement. His modernist V collar is the most dramatic piece in the collection, featuring 184 long pieces of fine chain, in silver, or white or yellow gold, woven onto a v-shaped collar.
