With news of a Royal baby on the way, the launch of a new ring in Solange Azagury-Partridge's Aristocrats collection couldn't be better timed. To celebrate the marriage of Prince William to Kate Middleton, London's coolest jewellery designer launched the five-piece Aristocrats collection in the spring of 2011, and this latest addition - the Lady ring in 18ct white gold - reveals a more romantic side to Azagury-Partridge. There is, or course, an element of quirky Solange: the translucent lilac enamel hand-painted on guilloche 18ct white gold gives the ring a fossilised appearance. But, as befits a lady, there are plenty of diamonds, too - most notably, a pear-cut sparkler, a shape that informs every element of Solange Azagury-Patridge's Lady ring.
