EDITOR'S REVIEW
Stephen Webster’s Grasshopper has extremely lifelike eyes – two perfectly smooth cabochon tsavorites, shaped like jelly beans. Perched atop a white gold ring, engraved to give it a twig-like texture, its legs and head are set with lush green tsavorites, while its body was created using Webster’s innovative Crystal Haze technique, which involves layering a multi-facted gemstone – in this case clear quartz – over another to create a holographic effect.
