EDITOR'S REVIEW
Part of the Shah collection, a ladder of richly hued lapis lazuli rectangles ascends to meet simple hooks in these earrings from the second instalment of ethical jewellery project Pippa Small Turquoise Mountain. The gold-plated silver earrings have been made by a team of craftspeople in Afghanistan, who have been trained by Pippa Small to make jewellery. Turquoise Mountain is an Afghan arts and crafts charity focused on reintroducing traditional crafts following their banishment under Taliban rule. Its other main objective is to turn this craftsmanship into an enterprise, allowing Afghans to profit from their work.
