EDITOR'S REVIEW
Vacheron Constantin's elegant, tonneau-shaped case has become one of the Geneva-based watchmaker's most distinguishing features since its introduction in 1912. The Vacheron Constantin Malte Tourbillon platinum timepiece is part of the Collection Excellence Platine, which pays homage to the powerful metal and bears the platinum mark 'Pt950'. This Malte Tourbillon watch has a platinum case, dial, folding buckle and platinum thread on the blue saddle-stitched alligator strap. The tonneau platinum case, measuring 38mm by 48mm, houses a sand-blasted platinum dial featuring a single white-gold Roman numeral and hour markers with off-centre hour and minute hands that allow for the exquisite 60-second tourbillon at 6 o'clock. The tourbillon, which features Vacheron Constantin's Maltese cross emblem, is expertly crafted using the berçage technique. The 169-part manual-winding Calibre 2795 tourbillon movement, with Côte de Genève decoration, is visible through the sapphire case back and accredited with the distinguished Poinçon de Genève.
*This watch is priced at $225,000
