Ready to snap its diamond claws around its prey, this delightful crab is one of Vhernier’s growing menagerie of Animalier brooches. The Italian jeweller Vhernier is known for its contemporary designs with a sense of surprise and dash of Italian style. Using the trasparenza technique of layering stones to create brilliant colour effects, the crab’s body is created from green chrysoprase topped with carved rock crystal. His claws are set with diamonds using the house’s two-point diamond setting for a smooth finish and maximum brilliance.
