EDITOR'S REVIEW
I first saw Vicky Lew’s sharply defined work at the 2014 Graduate Show at Central Saintt Martins where her Flight cuff of anodised aluminium and crystal won her the Non-Precious Metal prize. Since then, her edgy and finely crafted jewels have been collecting awards and recognition. Chosen by style doyenne and model Erin O’Connor as one of her favourite designers at the 2016 Goldsmiths’ Fair, these earrings show why Lew is one to watch. Set by hand in the UK with sapphire, topaz, spinel and smoky quartz in white and yellow gold, there are two sides to these earrings. Viewed from head on they look colourfully geometric; tilt them 45 degrees and they reveal a surprise: two birds in flight.
