Victor Velyan experiments with patinas on precious metals, allowing them to form for up to a year before crafting them into his characteristic bold creations. This dramatic silver and yellow gold cuff has a deep brown patina with a crocodile skin texture on its surface. The cuff is set with a large oval cabochon-cut tanzanite weighing more than 25 carats. Set into an oval gold bezel, this impressive blue gem is surrounded by diamonds and moonstones. The 24-carat yellow gold appliqué on either side of the central stone is set with tiny cabochon purple sapphires. Based in Los Angeles, all Victor Velyan jewellery is created once the vivid gemstones and precious metals have been selected, which allows the materials to dictate the unique design.
