Making his debut in 2012 at the 26th Biennale des Antiquaires, Wallace Chan has rocked the world of jewellery with his extraordinary jewels. Hong Kong native Chan began his career carving precious stones, but it was only when he moved into jewellery making that he had a stage on which to showcase his innate talent. Always original, his ability to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary is the mark of a true artist jeweller. With his Blue Fantasy ring and fantastical imagination, Chan has captured the imagination of jewellery collectors and experts around the world. The ring features a mesmerising 53.78ct blue topaz, surrounded by white diamonds and sapphires that follow the shape of the stone. It's only when you zoom in on Chan's Blue Fantasy ring, however, that you see the unique details that set Chan's work apart: the irregularly cut topaz and the miniature, sculptured prongs that hold it in place.
