EDITOR'S REVIEW
This pair of jewelled platinised silver and gold cufflinks by Carl Fabergé are a beautiful example of Fabergé's jewellery legacy. The yellow gold terminals are topped with matt platinised silver and mounted with four cabochon chrysoprases and lines of rose diamonds, their shape mimicking that of a button hole. 1.9cm in length, they were originally purchased from Faberge's London branch by Mrs Claude Watney on 14 July 1911 for £14, which is recorded in the firm's sales ledgers. These antique Fabergé cufflinks are presented in their original silk and velvet lined, fitted Hollywood case, the lid is stamped in Cyrillic beneath the Imperial Warrant 'Fabergé, St. Petersburg, Moscow, London'.
