EDITOR'S REVIEW
Offering a futuristic take on Haute Horlogerie, this Zenith Academy Tourbillon offers wearers an unimpeded view of the cutting-edge mechanics inside the watch. The El Primero Calibre 4805 movement combines two iconic complications in this limited edition watch. Without a dial to complicate the view, the Academy Tourbillon Georges Favre-Jacot has a bold 45mm black ceramic case, which focuses all the attention on its tourbillon at 6 o’clock, and the fusée and train transmission system between 10.30 and 1.30. An incredible technical and aesthetic feat stemming from a lengthy process of research and design allows this unprecedented view of the movement structure. Water-resistant to 50 metres and with a 50-hour power reserve, this 807-part, hand-wound movement is a fascinating compendium of watchmaking technology and is issued in a 150-piece limited edition.
