In 1969 Zenith launched its groundbreaking triple calendar automatic chronograph. This column-wheel chronograph swiftly became a design classic for the 30 years it was in production. Today, Zenith honours that trailblazing timepiece with the launch of the remastered El Primero 410. With a distinctly vintage feel and utilising the same exceptional calibre 410 movement, the 2013 model stays true to its parent design. With a larger 42mm case in stainless steel, the silvered dial features the same three sub-dials: a 30-minute register at 3 o'clock, 12 hour register at 6 o'clock, and small-second dial at 9 o'clock. The calendar function has three separate apertures, with the day counted at 10 o'clock, month at 2 o'clock and date at 4.30. The elegant moon-phase function is integrated into the 12-hour display. With 12 luminova-treated hour indicators and effortless hour and minute hands, the silver face is punctuated by the sweeping indigo second indicator, which is balanced beautifully with the Zenith star. The dial is finished with an opaline inner bezel, which houses the tachymeter. Through the sapphire case back the inner beauty of this watch can be observed. With Côte de Genève decoration on the oscillating weight, the 390-part Zenith El Primero 410 calibre movement provides a powerful 36,000 vibrations per minute, a minimum 50-hour power reserve and is waterproof to 100m.
