Bracelets, I think, are the most personal jewels. When we were children, we gave each other friendship bracelets, and as we grow up, they say so much about where we’ve been and who we are, and we like to mix and match them and stack them.
I’ve taken this idea a step further and looked for three diamond bracelets that express personality in very different ways. The Boodles Knot is so nice because it’s just so simple, yet it says so much. The symbol of the knot; we all know what it means. I like this version, in rose and white gold with diamonds, and this bracelet costs £6000.
De Beers’ Talisman brings something very different, because it combines rough diamonds with polished ones, and this bracelet is so slender and so delicate, it really sits close to the skin. It’s great for stacking and mixing and matching. This one starts at £7700.
If you like the clean lines of Scandinavian design, then Georg Jensen’s DUNE bracelet says so much about your style. This one, which its cinnamon diamonds and rose gold, is £9875.
Looking at these bracelets, I hope that I’ve managed to capture in a more grownup way that initial impulse that as a child we had when we wanted to tie a little coloured ribbon around our wrist.
